Working with professional support from Interfaith CarePartners, Second Family Care Team meets a variety of needs ~ from taking people to Church, to grocery shopping for those who cannot get out themselves.
Founded in 1999, St. Anthony's Second Family Care Team has given thousands of hours of loving service to care partners in The Woodlands community. We serve St. Anthony Parishioners and other Woodlands community residents, seniors living alone or with an overburdened spouse or other family member and individuals who have chronic or progressive illnesses or physical disabilities.
We offer companionship, provide transportation to Mass, doctor appointments, etc., respite care so caretakers can have time to themselves, and basic practical assistance (grocery shopping, simple errands) that a care partner may find difficult or not possible.
Please contact Becky Villarreal at Interfaith CarePartners or Barbara Anderson if you would like more information or are interested in joining this important Ministry that reaches out to fellow Parishioners in need!
