Welcome to our ministry that builds new homes with and for deserving families. It is in-keeping with St. Anthony's Mission Statement; “to build a welcoming, interconnected gathering of the faithful that will be a beacon, a light to the world"
We had a GREAT dedication with the Tellez family on June 19th! Marguerite Ference of WoodsEdge put together a beautiful program and handout. The rest of us lined up and did our part to congratulate the family and present them with their new home. Jeff Wells, Senior Pastor from WoodsEdge and Deacon Jim Doherty prayed and blessed the home. Steve Brown said a few kind words in recognition of all who helped build the home. Marguerite thanked everyone on behalf of Habitat for Humanity (not only do we get to work with her...but she's president of the Habitat board...) Gifts for the family were presented by Nick Volanski of St. Anthony's and Don and Laura Lehman of Habitat Family Support. Jeanne Colgate represented Master Gardners who donated and installed all of the landscaping this year...nicely done! Our own Tom Gosse sprinkled blessings and comments throughout the dedication and Ken Lepper led the group in singing two spiritual hymns.
Check out the 2010 Home Dedication album link in the right column for some great pictures of the event.
We will begin planning for our next home, soon and plan to begin early next year, weather permitting.
A huge thanks to all of our volunteers for their time, talents and fellowship this year.
Peace!
