"We highly recommend the Children's Bible Study course. We are learning so much, right along with our 9 year old daughter. Even our 5 year old is able to understand, and we are all thoroughly enjoying the classes."

Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church is pleased to offer our second year of Children’s Bible Study. It is a Bible reading course for children (and their parents…really the whole family) focused mainly for children in grades 2 through 6 (and higher). Having said this, sometimes children in 1st and 2nd grade are VERY good readers and they would be welcome, and interested older children will not be turned away either. Siblings younger and older are welcome, and at least one Parent is required to be in attendance. Children may not be dropped off for this course. Parents will learn a great deal about the Bible through this course, with their children. This is a family oriented course. Preschoolers who are good listeners can learn right alongside their older siblings. Coloring activities related to the class will be provided for the younger children for all classes, so all can learn. Unfortunately the Nursery is not available.
Our focus for quite some time will be the Old Testament, because it is rich in characters and stories which have had a profound effect upon the New Testament and the Church. Attendance at all classes is highly encouraged, but not required. Registration will be closed after we reach a certain number of children (probably thirty children). The fee is $45.00 per family for new families for the entire school year, 2010-2011, and $30.00 for returning families from last year. However if anyone has a special circumstance which prevents them from paying these fees, please contact Mike Quigley directly. Class number one, Friday September 17th at 6:45 PM, is very important for the rest of the course, so it is required of all new families and might be offered a second time if needed. Payment will be collected at the first class attended.
The calendar of Friday evening classes will be posted shortly. Classes will start at 6:45, except during Lent, and most of them are scheduled in the Fellowship Hall.
