The Pantry Mission: The St. Anthony's Bread Food Pantry serves all those who ask for and need food. We are guided by the words of Jesus to His flock: "For I was hungry and you fed me." (Matthew 25:35). We do not judge or qualify the need ~ we are here simply to share whatever food we have with those who come to our Pantry door. It is our hope that as members of St. Anthony's Bread, we take the Gospel and Eucharist from the pew to the curb to the neighborhood.
The SAB Food Pantry is open to the public on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 am to Noon, and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. While the Food Pantry is closed to the public the other days of the week, there are work crews that bag groceries and stock shelves on those days. The Ministry meets quarterly in the Pantry and on an as needed basis. Meetings dates and times are announced by email to volunteers. If you are interested in attending a meeting, contacrt the Pantry at the above link.
The SAB Food Pantry Ministry is "campus-based" and operates out of the white utility buildings behind the Church. In 2014, the Pantry was blessed to served over 17,000 men, women, and children.
Volunteers are always welcome to work in the Food Pantry. The minimum age to volunteer is 17 years old. We can make arrangements for younger volunteers if accompanied by a responsible adult. Please call 832-482-4210 for more information.
