Sacramental Preparation for Adults

Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic Christian?  This process that adults embark on to become Catholic is a journey of faith sharing, ritual, catechesis, scripture study, prayer, and reflection, guided and welcomed by members of our parish community. You are invited to join us in the Pre-Catechumenate phase of RCIA, designed to provide you an opportunity to become more acquainted with our Catholic community, its traditions, beliefs, and the gospel values that guide our lives as Christians. We welcome you and your questions to this journey of faith, and hope you will find us not mere travel agents who are experts in the field, but rather friends who offer ourselves as companions for the journey.
Are you a Baptised Catholic who has not received Confirmation? Confirmation is a true sacrament instituted by Christ and different from baptism. It is administered by laying-on of hands and anointing with chrism accompanied by prayer. The chrism is blessed by the bishop and the bishop administers the sacrament. All baptized persons can and should be confirmed. The effect of the sacrament of confirmation is to give strength in faith and for the confession of faith and to impress an indelible character.
