“Francis, Go Repair My House…”
This Lent we are inviting two priests from the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal to preach our Parish Mission. Combining their own stories and that of St Francis with the Gospel, the impact will be felt far and wide.
Each mission will be preached in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament and Confessions will be made available on Tuesday. Come to this mission and help us rebuild the Church.
Parish Mission will take place each evening in the sanctuary from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be a morning follow-up mission at the 9:00 am Mass the following morning. On Tuesday evening only there will be a parish reconciliation service for the mission.
**NURSERY WILL BE PROVIDED FOR 9 MONTHS TO 4-YEAR-OLDS. LIMITED AVAILABILITY.**
MARCH 5: “GO REPAIR MY HOUSE”
Jesus Christ told Saint Francis to go and repair his house, for though he was filled with worldly treasures, his love was cold. Francis lit a fire in Europe that is burning 800 years later. Learning from his example, we too can have a living conversion and rekindle our love for Christ.
MARCH 6: THE EUCHARIST, THE HEART OF ST. FRANCIS
There is no Saint Francis without his zealous love of Jesus in the Eucharist. This fiery friar drew his life from his Savior, a union intimately bound up in the Blessed Sacrament. You, too, can experience the same life in the Eucharist, overcoming the spiritual staleness we can find ourselves in.
MARCH 7: ST. FRANCIS, MAN OF RECONCILIATION (Sacrament of Reconciliation)
You and I need healing and forgiveness if we are to follow Christ. No one remains unbroken by this life. And yet, in the center of his own sin Francis would discover the endless fountain of Christ’s mercy. In this final mission night, be found among the broken at the foot of the cross.
MARCH 8: OUTCAST (movie about the CFRs)
We will be airing a movie in the Youth Room on Wednesday with the director of the film, Joe Campo. This stunning movie features the various ministries of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal around the world in some of the most difficult and dangerous places. Suggested donation: $10.
